Any soldier, officer or civilian can produce expert quality aerial intelligence within minutes of using the Aeryon Scout.  The key is Aeryon’s entirely touch-screen driven interface, which means piloting the Aeryon Scout is as easy as pointing at a map.  End users no longer need to spend countless hours learning the complexities of joystick controlling a remote control helicopter.  Simply point to where you want the Scout to go and the system takes care of the rest.  Point the camera and the system automatically focuses on the desired target.

Fly Wherever Your Mission Takes You

With Aeryon’s map-based touch-screen interface you don’t need to see the system to be able to control it.  This allows you to fly beyond line-of-sight or fly at night when visibility is limited.  In short, you can fly wherever and whenever your mission requires you to fly, something not possible with less sophisticated joystick controlled systems.

Real Time Digital Video to any Device

Digital video is streamed in real time to the Aeryon Scout’s command center.  Video can also be streamed to any other device – including iPhones, Blackberries or laptops – with access to your IP network, allowing for everyone involved in your mission to be up to date with the latest aerial intelligence.

System Controlled Positioning

With the intelligence of the system actually on board the flyer itself, the Aeryon Scout automatically controls both the position of itself as well as the position of its payload – allowing the pilot the ability to focus on their mission.  The 2-axis computer controlled gimbal keeps the camera focused on its target, stabilized and level – even in windy conditions. 

Quiet and Covert

With only four moving parts – the 4 electric motors driving the propellers – the Aeryon Scout is extremely quiet in the air.  This allows for both covert and overt applications.

With the Scout’s tool-less assembly, it can be snapped together in seconds.  This means the man-packable system can be streaming real-time professional video within minutes of arriving at the scene.  The entire system fits into one mission case that`s small enough to fit as carry-on baggage on a commercial airline. 

Use Any Map

Maps can be based on commercially available maps or customized to work with a GIS system already in use.  The system can also be used for real-time map generation – as the system flies over unmapped or out-of-date regions, photographs are layered onto the GIS based maps showing current conditions.
