Position:

Material Manager/Purchasing

Description:

• Order material to ensure timely delivery to allow Aeryon to achieve production schedules and customer deliverables.
• Manage sub-contractors to ensure quality, schedule and cost objectives are achieved
• Resolve any vendor shipping/receiving discrepancies
• Monitor inventory levels and advises of any depleted stock
• Develop ongoing purchasing strategies and identify and process cost reduction opportunities
• Responsible for shipping all customer deliveries.
• Responsible for completion of all customs documentation required for shipping.
• Ensure that standards for quality are consistent while achieving lowest possible purchase costs.  Initiate actions to ensure timely receipt of purchased materials to support both production and customer requirements.
• Support engineering in selection and sourcing of purchased parts.
• Stays current with new materials & technologies relevant to industry

Required Skills

• At least 5 years of purchasing/sourcing in the electronics industry
• Solid negotiating skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple vendors
• Understanding of customs requirements
• Ability to work as single person in function in a highly integrated team environment
• Self directed
• Excellent time management skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of procurement including writing of specifications, RFP's, agreements, negotiation, contract management and financial analysis.
• Effective relationship builder across functional groups at all levels.
• Ability to create order from chaos.
