Alaska National Guard conducts Joint Arctic SAREX

BETHEL, Alaska - The Alaska National Guard conducted a joint search-and-rescue exercise earlier this month to test the recovery operations for a simulated 737 plane crash. The search-and-rescue exercise was an opportunity for the Alaska National Guard to explore ways small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS), such as the Aeryon Scout™, can integrate with different organizations. During the search-and-rescue exercise, Scout™ provided various types of data, such as high resolution maps, and real-time exploration with an infrared payload, allowing search and rescue teams to search for survivors from the air.

 

Idaho Power Company Deploys Aeryon Scout to Find Salmon in the Snake River

Idaho
February 4, 2013 - Each fall, Idaho Power uses aircraft, usually helicopters, to survey Chinook Salmon nests on the Snake River and make sure the company's projects aren't negatively impacting the threatened species. The Aeryon Scout™ assisted and provided an eye-in-the-sky and allowed Idaho Power to safely and effectively collect high-resolution images and data.

Aeryon Scout used in Halton Police Crash Exercise

The Aeryon Scout demonstrates the effectiveness of using small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) for accident reconstruction in a live-crash simulation carried out by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).
