Embedded Software Developer
Responsibilities of this position include design and development of current and upcoming Aeryon products. We are looking for an additional and enthusiastic team member with a broad skill set and a proven background in embedded software design.
Job description
- Embedded software design and development in C and C++
- Inter-process communication protocol design and implementation
- C / C++/Java application interface design and implementation
- Mentoring junior and student developers
Required skills
- BASc or CS degree
- 5+ years experience in embedded C and C++ development
- Network programming experience
- Multi-threaded and multi-process application development
- Video and image processing background an asset
- Linux on ARM processor development experience an asset
Field Application Engineer (FAE)
Our field application engineers represent the competency and the integrity of Aeryon Labs in both sales and support situations. Responsibilities include setting up and validating demo equipment, performing product demonstrations, interacting with customers to understand their problems, and developing solutions. Other tasks include providing critical field experience back to the development team and ensuring product features meet customer requirements. Field application engineers are instrumental to ensuring that the R&D as well as the operations team are responsive to our customers' needs. Job description * provides online, phone and onsite customer support and training * 15% travel time to customer locations * evaluates and helps resolve post-sales issues * performs technical seminars, presentations and demonstrations * performs software development and creates software features * develops customer training materials * reports on customer status and coordinates activities between all groups to achieve customer satisfaction Required skills * 2+ years of FAE or equivalent work experience * degree in Engineering /Computer Science or equivalent * excellent problem solving skills * outstanding communications skills and the ability to persevere * experience with software development in Java and Python
